Gebre-Egziabher promoted to Professor

Professor Gebre-Egziabher

Faculty member Demoz Gebre-Egziabher has recently been promoted from an Associate Professor to a Professor, which becomes effective the beginning of Fall Semester 2017. Professor Gebre-Egziabher graduated with a PhD from Stanford University in 2002, and subsequently joined the AEM Department as an Assistant Professor.

Professor Gebre-Egziabher’s area of research is in the area of state estimation and its application to the navigation and attitude determination of aerospace vehicles.

He is the Director of Graduate Studies and since January 2017 has taken on the leadership of the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium as its director. He is a member of the Institute of Navigation (ION), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Institute of Aeronautics where he is an associate fellow.
