University of Minnesota Students Build Shoebox-Sized Telescope to Study Solar Flares

 

 

Students of the University of Minnesota’s EXACT program are building a shoebox-sized x-ray telescope to study solar flares. This NASA-funded project is helping to create not only scientific advancements, but aiding the future careers of these undergraduate students. The progam consists of Aerospace and Physics and Astronomy students and is led by Dr. Lindsay Glesener and Dr. Demoz Gebre-Egziabher.
